Default Any way to change autosave in game?

Just had a game crash after playing three hours with no manual saves, so I lost all those turns. Never had SEIV crash on me before, but I haven't been playing that long, so I left the Autosave option on None when I created the game. I want to keep playing this game, but now I am paranoid the game is going to crash, so I want to autosave so I don't have to save manually all the time, but it appears that the autosave option is only available on new game creation. What was the reasoning behind that? I wish it could be changed in game. Another thing to add to my wish list I guess.

I don't know of any way to change AutoSave mid-game. It was a long time since I've had SEIV crash, Last time was probably sometime in mid-beta when RCEs and Windoze errors were more common. I just got into the habit of setting AutoSave to every turn. Don't have to worry too much about space since only 10 files are used, with the oldest being overwritten when turn files run out.
