Witek:
You are probably right - i was concentrating on vehicles, so some of the details in infantry weapons have escaped my eye. I have that nTW issue. But, unfortunately i recently started working, so i don't have too much time to make more modifications.

Alpha:
Well, we got 128 Leo 2s from German army stocks. Yay! Even better: we got them for free! (almost - we had to pay for de-mothballing them, since they spent some time conservated in german storage. Anyway, we got them at 1/100 of their actual cost. Good for us ). About russian stuff being cheaper to operate - well, expenses to supply leo 2 brigade are considerably smaller than brigade of PT-91s or T-72s. Mainetance of russian tanks is also a problem - for example, thanks to the power-pack Leo 2 engine can be changed in field conditions in less than 2 hours. In T-72's you require ... about 23 hours.

If you want to use it in cam - no problem. In older versions of SPMBT i'd advise against it, but with WinSPMBT s OOB management system - its a good idea. Good Luck!

Jagdtiger: Nie ma problemu . Zreszta; chyba zaczne sie u was pojawiac od czasu do czasu.

And in another news: Poland signed contract with Iraq to sell them Dzik (Boar) Armored Cars / light APCs. Of course, Iraqis will have change the name .

well i know that leo powerpack can be changed very fast and also i believe his engine can be fueled with almosst everything.....i only wonder what are the advantages of the russian stuff against western ones ? it was always said that the maintenance and handling of eastern stuff is much better. that was one of the arguments against more expensive western (german) equipment compared to russian equipment ?

Could be that maintenance and general use of western (German) equipment is more expensive, particularly for people used to Russian stuff.
Actually I heard that the Romanian army, which recieved a batch of some dozens of Gepard SPAAGs, had such a hard time and spent so much money running these that they refused a subsequent offer for a batch of Leopard2A4.
Has anyone better info on this?

i really wonder why we give away all the gepards and leos ?

why don´t we "mothball" them ?

who knows if we need them again, the world is not
a save place these days.

Well, poland recived the leos for a 10BKPanc - 10th armored cavalry brigade (do not moistake with US Armored Cav - ours is tank - only) because this unit is designated to be fully compatibile (? - not sure i'ts a right word, but you get the meaning ) with other NATO units.

Alpha, you give them away because it is the cheapest way. It can even bring you money back!
I don't know how the people concerned deal these things but I'm sure that maintenance, spares, technical assistance, formation and so on are "given away" as well... See my point?
Anyway it is always costlier to have some guys on duty guarding the mothballs and some others dusting them off form time to time, plus the paperwork, than shoving off the damn things for someone else to care!

Actually, the world may be no safe place, but you can consider (at least when you live in Germany, in some other places you can't) that it can be made somewhat safer when you have enough money.

Sorry for the off-topic digression, everyone!
