Interesting... I had two commanders that became immortals after picking up too many afflictions, so maybe yours has been "suffering" from the same problem? (Mine were Black Sorcerers with Fire Shield and Invulnerability)

I won't be surprised that it's a fun feature wanted by the devs : anyone still alive after 8 or 10 afflictions deserve becoming immortal !

Re: What do you think of my prophet?
It wasn't the limited immortality of the Immortals, but true immortality: two of my commanders simply couldn't be killed - at all. The only way of getting them to die was by making it impossible for them to retreat, though killing them via Fires from Afar would have worked too, I think.

Re: What do you think of my prophet?
I have thought of sending him into hopeless battles just to try and kill him, so I can create a new prophet, but honestly, I don't think he would ever die. He'll just end up looking like the Black Knight from the Holy Grail. "C'mon, I'll bite your kneecaps!"

Except he doesn't even have a head to bite them with.
"You, coward! Come back here so I can bleed on you!"

Re: What do you think of my prophet?
That is classic! It really does seem like something out of a Monty Python skit. I have to laugh just thinking about how his army must have to wheel him into battle tied on a cart or some such. I think that the T'ien Ch'i in your world now have a new metaphor for bad luck: Cai-shen.
-'That poor sod must have the luck of Cai-shen!'
