Do you mean that the only buttons that light up are "credits" and "quit"?

If so, it is almost surely your SE4 version. You need gold, v1.91
It may be that your download was corrupted enough to break the mod, but not enough to make the zip unreadable, but that is highly unlikely.

PS:
If you are lacking the imagemod packs, the game won't die on you; you'll just get image-not-found messages all the time. Playable, but not exactly fun, and not pretty.

I have gold v1.91. What I mean by unavailable is when I start a new game, and the menu comes up that has all of the options like what race to play as and winning conditions and stuff like that. Well, after I first installed the mod, there were some new options added by the mod, but after installing the image pack, those options were gone.

I just think I installed the mod and or image packs wrong. If someone could please explain to me how to install the mod and image packs that would be great.

The Image Mod packs go in their respective subfolders under the Pictures folder. Components into Components, and so on. Make sure that you got the various pack files, not the so-called "Image Mod Mod." The P&N mod archive is set to extract to a subfolder by default, so just extract it into the SE4 folder. Edit Path.txt in the root SE4 folder to point to the name of the mod folder, rather than "None." Load SE4. It should now have P&N data files loaded. An alternative method for launching mods is the Mod Launcher, which I would highly recommend over manual editing of Path.txt.

I've got a few image packs but I'm not sure if they are the right ones. Could someone please post a link to where I can find these image packs? And also, I'm only suppose to get the individual image packs? I don't need "image mod mod"? Thanks again for your help.

The Imagemod mod is a data mod, which has all the same physics as stock SE4, but makes use of the imagemod to fancy it up.

For example, under the imagemodmod, meson blasters still do the same damage and everything, but when you're viewing the combat replay, you can see the difference between the small bolts of a MB I, and the beastly bolts of an MB VI.

You do not want to copy the image mod mod overtop of P&N any more than you would want to copy the adamant mod files over top of P&N.

The best thing to do at this point is just unzip P&N again. (Re-download if you have to)

Missing image mod pictures will have absolutely no effect on AI issues, however.
