OT: is this some sort of spammer repository?
I just had a giggle and googled my own email address...and look what I found:
http://www.newsbackup.com/about327709.html
Looks like a mailling list for spammers. Can they get away with being this brazen, openly adding other people's email addresses to spamlists?
Anything I can do about this? Probably not...oh well.
Thanks,
Alarik

Looks more like a spammer HQ where you can pick up an operating email address to use to send spam.

Look at some of the addresses, though. Lots of them are 'admin' @wherever -- does it makes sense to put an admin account in a spamming list? The title of the page says "NewsBackup.com Forum Index > alt.make.money.fast > infof1" Have you posted to that newsgroup in the past? I think there is something else going on here.

Have I ever sent an email to 'alt.make.money.fast'? Uh, that would be a big fat no...I think my email just got mined by someone...it's interesting to get some glimpse into how this spam stuff works, at least.
Oh well.

And now it seems to be gone.

Yep it's gone. Maybe they rotate site locations with this list? It would be interesting to see if more addresses show up next week or next month.

Perhaps the poster makes a special effort to collect all those e-mail addresses where people post things like Me (at) ImSpamFree (dot) com, just to spite them!
