Still having sound issues...

Oh, one question though, I noticed that in the instructions when you're using the converter program, it says to pick something like "PCM signed 24-bit stereo" as the type. In my drop-down list the closest thing I see to that simply says "24-bit stereo". Is that the right one? I'm thinking maybe I converted to the wrong format...

Not for me Alby... Are you using GoldWave? I had to download version 4.26 because the website said that was the latest version that still works in Windows 98, I wonder if that's the problem.

Any ideas?

Yes I'm thinking that maybe PCM signed 24-bit wasn't added until a later version. Unfortunately since I'm still using Windows 98 I can't use a version later that 4.26. Other than upgrading to WindowsXP, is there another piece of software anyone can recommend to convert the mp3s that will work with Win98 and have the correct format?

actually some of mine are not 24 bit...so that really shouldnt matter I would think.
Im at a loss why your sound doesnt play...
Unless you have the sound FX off in the preferences screen....surley it cant be that!!!

Heheh no that was the first thing I checked. There are actually SOME sort of sounds playing, it sounds like a REALLY soft distorted sound constantly playing.

Looks like I'm just going to have to turn sounds off again...

I actually have an old Creative SoundBlaster card I may just reinstall in my computer and save this aggravation...
