Well Hello! I work at a chemical plant in Middleton.
My jobs:
Peeling potatos
Mcdonalds
Security Guard at Logan Airport
Cleaning offices
Courier
Answering the phones in an office
Delivering Pizza at Papa Ginos
Then, I started taking computers apart. Started doing minor things in the office I was answering the phones at, took some part time Networking classes, A+ exams, MCSE exams, quit a couple companys and moved up riding the tech wave of the late 1990s.
Now I work in the IT dept for a worldwide chemical plant (we make cements mostly). This year I installed an EMC drive array, multiple 2003 servers, VMWare and Citrix.
The best advice I can give, is to find something you like to do. When I finally started working on PC's and networks, I loved going to work and still do. The odd thing is, people pay you MORE money to do something you love, than they do to get you to do something you hate, typically....
