Anyone up for blitz today?
I need to feed my addiction for Dom2 MP. A good blitz game tonight at around 6pm us EST (I think GMT -5) if there are interested parties.
If the game goes long (past turn 30 or so) and the turns are moving slow, we can transfer it to a timed server.
Hope to see you there.

PS
for those who have a moral (or any other) objection to irc. There is a no fuss java client at:
http://www.gamesurge.net/chat/
once there just hit /join #dominions

Re: Anyone up for blitz today?
So it seems that gamesurge is down (or just the web ui is). Either way, if you're interested in playing - I will be hosting a server starting now. Assuming there are players who join by 6:15, this is when the game will start - quickhost / urgaia /indy6 / 50magic site / normal research / renaming on (by request from last night - CB 5.2 complete. Nation on a first come first server (obviously!)
If you want to get in touch with me you can AIM me at: "Moas Pect"
Game Location: 70.118.6.221

PS - or you can just download an actual IRC client :/ - GameSurge server

Re: Anyone up for blitz today?
Game starts in 15min. Shovah, I'd suggest downloading mIRC:
http://www.mirc.com/
and joining the GameSurge server - room #dominions.
Me, Quantum and Truper are there.
PS - if we get more than 4 (unlikely but possible) then I reserve the right to pick a diff map

Re: Anyone up for blitz today?
I like blitzes, I do, but I thought the idea was to be fast about it. There really should be a quickhost that involves a minute-based time limit.
maybe rename these to speed blitzes? maybe blitzkriegs?

Yeh, I've requested that before - something that would cause hosting in say, 10 minutes. At the 9 minute mark, players get notified that times about to run out, so they can hurry more. At the 10 minute mark, their current orders are uploaded, regardless of whether or not they were done.
That way, people both know time's running out, and they don't keep staling because they're slow.
As is - I'd been in some blitzes where my turns were ... 2-4 minutes, then I'd wait half an hour or more for the people with bigger empires to finish their turns.

Re: Anyone up for blitz today?
Like the bots used to do in the Stars! channel, eh? Too bad we can't interest Orca in Dom2...
