Loading Max Cargo Clears Orders
Hello,
HAs anyone else noticed the behavior where when you send a ship to load cargo in a simultaneous and it reaches its capacity, the remaining orders are cleared out? I've noticed this every now and again, especially with minelayers.
It appears that somehow loading full cargo causes orders to be cleared. I don't know if this is a known bug, or *gasp* a feature.
Any thoughts?

Re: Loading Max Cargo Clears Orders
There's a difference between 'full' and attempting to load TOO MUCH. Which do you mean? The game might well clear the orders of a ship when there's an error, and I don't know if you could properly call that a bug. It ought to let you decide what to do about the error, after all. Do you get an error message for these ships when they get their orders cleared? If the 'automatic' process of loading cargo in simultaneous move always results in the orders being cleared, I guess it needs to be tweak somewhere to stop at the right point without creating any errors so the ship will continue on its way...

Re: Loading Max Cargo Clears Orders
I mean that when there is room on the ship, but there is more cargo on the planet than the ship can take. So it can't load everything there. I havn;t noticed this with population, but it seems like with mines it does do it.
I get no error message, just a ship sitting there at the planet fully loaded with no orders.

Re: Loading Max Cargo Clears Orders
Someone posted that orders being cleared when the ship is damaged made it very difficult to pass black hole systems in sim games.
Maybe what we need is an option to turn off the ships should clear orders after an error message feature.

Re: Loading Max Cargo Clears Orders
I have successfully had a colony ship built at one shipyard move to another planet, load population, and colonize a third planet in simultaneous without any orders being cleared.
In solo games, I have seen orders clear when a fleet tries to load cargo, and some of the escorting ships in the fleet have no cargo space, which gives an error warning box for each ship.

I don't think it happens for population. I've only ever seen it loading mines.
