Q. about The Ark
Description says it blinds and diseases non-holy troops.
Is this only in combat? Can I put it on a priest and have him travel with it to increase dominion? If it hurt non-holy troops when not in combat I will not bother.
I am playing Abysia and do not use holy troops(too expensive).

Re: Q. about The Ark
Only in combat, and your high-MR non-sacred troops are relatively safe, particularly in short battles.

Re: Q. about The Ark
But the Ark will disease / blind your pretender if he goes into a battle with the Ark present, as will non-sacred prophets, neither of which makes sense to me.

Re: Q. about The Ark
Well, your pretender is a false god. The Ark can sense that sort of thing. At least your followers are sincere in their false religion. Still awfully silly, if you ask me.

Re: Q. about The Ark
Cainehill, does the non-sacred prophets part refer to Ermorian prophets and DT C'tis unholy priests?

Re: Q. about The Ark
If the Ark only checks Sacred stat, being Blessed wouldn't help at all. If being a Prophet only makes you Blessed, like the Shroud of the Saint...

Re: Q. about The Ark
Wait, prophetizing a unit does not set it as sacred if it wasn't already?
Then again, that does make sense from the program mechanics perspective, even if it doesn't from the game perspective. And I suppose it checks the intrinsic sacred flag, instead of whether the unit has holy magic or is a prophet.

Re: Q. about The Ark
It should be easy to check for the Prophet and Pretender flags, though.

Re: Q. about The Ark
Yeah, it gives a whole new "Pantokrator is whipping you all heretics down" perspective to the item.
