Forgive my lack of Canadian Knowledge, Legal Age? Legal Age for what?

So far my birthday has been a good one, as much as is possible since my family doesn't really pay much attention to birthdays

Legal age refers to a wide variety of things. The age where you can legally vote, legally drink, enter into legally binding contracts, obtain a credit card if you so desire, etc.

Essentially, the age where you are no longer under any governmental age restrictions.
