Ships but also still magic. Like in many Animes or also in Star Wars.

If you decide to go Science Fiction you have to include some kind of Mechs though. For inspiration use Battletech and the good old Transformers Movie + Series and Neon Genesis Evangelion .

Definitely can be done as seen with StarWars, but it can be difficult to mix SciFi and Magic.
