Re: Origins
Will there be official Shrapnel people at Origins?
We'll be arriving Friday morning. How early depends on how early I can get the wife up, haha.
I'll check in and go directly to War College. The wife will have an enjoyable day shopping in beautiful downtown Columbus.
I'll stop by the Shrapnel table if there is one. My real name is Tony, I wear glasses and I wear my hair Michael Jordan short, so if you see anybody like that, it'll be me.
I'm looking forward to Origins. This year we will be staying until Saturday. A whole day-and-a-half hanging around gaming geeks....life could not be better!

Re: Origins
I'm afraid we must be counted among the game companies who will not be returning to Origins this year. Have fun and be sure to report back. We'll miss seeing you in person!

Re: Origins
As usual, Origins was great. Same faces as always, great seminars, lots of gamers to hang around with. You haven't lived until you've sat through a WW2 seminar given by David Glantz or an ancient warfare seminar given by Charles Sharp. David Powell's Civil War talks were also a lot of fun. There was also a Turkish fellow whose name escapes me who gave a very interesting talk on the Ottoman Army in the Napoleonic era.
It's wonderful to go to Columbus each year and see all the old hands and say hi and what-are-you-up-to. Eating greasy Food Court food, drinking at the Hyatt bar while reading one of Glantz's self-published WW2 books and watching the gamers chatter about some d20 adventure... Origins is really the high point of my year. I love every minute of it. Too bad we could not stay for Sunday.
As always, there is that bit of emptiness once I get home. Maybe I will find a way to break through the shell of introversion I live in and try to hook up with some gamers here in Cleveland.
