Well, several reasons:

1. Every troop on that border decreases slightly the chance Ermor will attack.

2. They are only 6 gold and 1 resource.

3. They aren't bad patrolling.

4. I actually like them better than normal militia since they are hard to hit and pack together closely.

He was needed at the pass, the influence of the dark phoenix was strong, and wherever it touched the land whithered. He felt sure if he ever let the presence of Issukangitok falter here, doom would surely follow. So he bided his time in prayer, and teaching the hoburgs of the faces of Issukangitok.

Certainly- just like it did in dom2.

I played Caelum not at all and it's been over a year since I last picked up Dom2, thanks to graduating from law school and beginning practice. So you'll have to forgive me the occasionally ignorant question.
