Re: Random Thoughts, Observations, and Questions..
Thanks Strategia In Ultima.I may have selected the auto button but I doubt it.
The excess "Current Total" was I believe from a Neutral accepting my request for their surrender. I must have received resources as well as the technology and planets.
I am building shipyards, and storage, and more research facilities. My net minerals per turn just continues to grow. It's now at 42807. My storage is at 494458 of 590000. I'm at level II storage and about to complete level II mineral extraction wich I began early. My total ships is only 58 (starting Light Cruisers now). My number of colonies is 17. My total space yards is only 20. It is year 2405.6 (stock game). I guess my empire is extremely affluent and worry free.
-----I assume that the Mega-Evil Empire function will be present in Space Empires V. Is it still quite drastic where everyone declares war on you? Even a neighboring weak empire that will be destroyed?
It would be better if the closer empires and those in good relations to you would slowly detoriorate relations with you over many turns.

Re: Random Thoughts, Observations, and Questions..
Good bye Space Empires IV. Welcome Space Empires V.
Now if I play SEIV I feel like I'm wasting time better spent perfecting my SEV play. Do many others feel this way? I know that many claim they will continue playing SEIV for a long time to come but...really?

Re: Random Thoughts, Observations, and Questions..
Not at all. I find myself wanting to fire up SEIV instead. But I will put more time into the SEV demo just to give it a fair shake.

I for one will continue to play SE IV until I can afford to buy a computer that will run SE V. (My current antiquated system can't.) And at the rate I'm managing to save up for that, I may end up skipping directly to SE VI.

Re: Random Thoughts, Observations, and Questions..
capnq, I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps some sort of gift will come your way. Maybe some side jobs? You're gonna be really anxious to play SEV.
-----Check out the Planets file in the game files! There are Ringworld pictures for each atmosphere of a rock, ice, and gas race. The Sphereworld has more detail also. A strip around the equator and some sort of landing pad or entrance port. The size of these details to the scale of a Sphereworld would be enormous!
