Re: Refresh fever
> Could you please LMK if the full 'tables of units & equipments' are included in the manual for evry nations ? I'm preparing to update the excel unitattributes file
All summonable units have their stats listed in the manual, but not equipment and regular recruitable units. That would take many additional pages
So you'll need to update your lists and make lists for about 60 nations.

Re: Refresh fever
> wow! Now this will be the king of the manuals probably
Actually, yes . I'm very impressed by Bruce's work and I'm very happy that he did the manual and not us or someone else. Compared to the Dom2 manual it is a MAJOR improvement IMHO. I'm almost willing to say I would buy the game for the manual itself, but I might be biased

IMHO the Doms 2. manual was very good also.

Re: Refresh fever
Stupid question - is the manual bound or spiral bound?
[EDIT] And I am refreshing the forums page excessively myself.

Re: Refresh fever
You people dont have auto-refresh capability?
Or setup Linux to do a GET of the page and then diff it mailing you the results if !0
Hmmm there is an autocheck and mail thing like that in Windows also but I forget how to do it. I could track it sinde I have the Illwinter page on autoreport by the windows method

Re: Refresh fever
Oh, the preaching's already taking place. I'm just looking forward to getting the full game and having some time to digest it so that I can drop a review over at GameFAQs the way I did for DomII. I'd love to see the FAQ community there pick up for Dom3 the way it never did for DomII, given that GameFAQs is a great gateway to a larger audience. Hopefully some of us can put a few strategy text files up there after release and get some additional momentum going for the game. After all, more players = more games.

More support for Illwinter/Shrapnel = more updates/patches = better games = more players = more games!!
Ah, the circle of life. It brings a tear to one's eye.

Not a stupid question at all. We are, and have been, looking at the options with regard to binding. I know we haven't decided for sure, but that decision has to be made next week.

Re: Refresh fever
Given my druthers (and roughly equal cost) I would request spiral bound as you can leave it open without stacking beer bottles on the corner-edges.
As we all know, beer bottles must be at least half full to keep a manual open and therefore a continual supply must be at hand. When they get below that critical point, a newly-opened beer bottle must replace the now less-than-half -full bottle.
Beer bottles sweat, especially near a computer that has been running for four or five days straight, which can ruin a good bound manual.
Spiral bound is the way.

Re: Refresh fever
I must agree with Caduceus's observations and therefore second his endorsement of spiral bound.
