Re: Any word on a UK distributor?
I'm surprised Shrapnel isn't going with using GoGamer as a secondary distributor again. I discovered Dom2 via the combination of GoGamer.com and PCGamer magazine (a Trotter article).

Re: Any word on a UK distributor?
I have ordered Dom3 and I live in the UK. R u sure the game will be delayed in regional customs? I was hoping to get it with in a week of release.
By the way Dom 3 for anyone in the UK, it is not as expensive as some people may think. It worked out at 34.60 pounds (that's with the best shipping option), most UK games at release r 34.99 nowadays (so slightly cheaper), $1.83 dollars to the pound helps . Consider Heroes of Might & Magic 5 was 39.99 pounds and well pretty, its not a great game.

Re: Any word on a UK distributor?
dom2 was shipped, if memory serves, as a plastic-wrapped manual with the CD inside in a paper sleeve. Not much in there for customs to be frightened, I'd say, so if dom3 looks the same, even with a larger manual I'd say there should be a good chance that the game reaches you reasonably quickly, unless UK customs are really extra paranoid.

Well, they may consider it as an attempt to sabotage productivity in UK

Re: Any word on a UK distributor?
PDF - I got CMBB from a friendly guy in the US too. Takes me back a while that does . IIRC you did some cracking mods (Pasco Di Falco?) for it as well.
Meglobob - It's happened twice to me in the last few months, once for a computer game and once for a board game. At my regional depot they are little jobsworths who seem to get some satisfaction out of the fact that you have paid for postage, but have to drive to pick it up and hand over tons more cash to boot. I suppose it might get through wherever you live, but they all seem extra-keen at the moment. OTOH perhaps it's me and I may have typed 'I wish I could blow up Parliament' into Google while drunk
The main reason I put this up was that the only place I knew where I used to get all my Shrapnel stuff from (Strategic Plus Software) has just sadly gone under after 20 years. I enjoy Dom2 and have got a few buddies here hooked as well, but seem to be stumped for getting hold of Dom3 without lots of extra effort and cash.
Thanks for the tips everyone, ideally there will be a UK distributor, otherwise I might be begging some of you chaps for assistance!

Re: Any word on a UK distributor?
Play need to send stuff through Customs too, and they never have a problem. I got a game from another US company around a month ago, and that came through fine.
AFAIK the only reason they'd detain it is if VAT or Import Tax is due.
