Re: Proposal for a game change
So exactly how many more turns do we want to play this?
1?
2?
Call it a draw now, because we all hope to find dom3 in our mailbox today or tomorrow?

Re: Proposal for a game change
Since it takes two turns to breach and storm, one turn seems pointless. My copy of 3 shipped today, so i'm easy either way. It's really up to Graeme.
Nice job coming outta the bullpen Ron, and thanks again for taking over.

Re: Proposal for a game change
I say call it a draw now. After 2 nations storm my capital in the same turn no less.
But I'm fine either way, my delivery notice was today, so my copy should be arriving tomorrow (cross my fingers).

Re: Proposal for a game change
It was necessary to destroy your capital in order to save it from being destroyed by Arcoscephale. So, really, just doing you a favor old chap.
Well, that's our story and we're sticking to it. Until we think of a better one.

Re: Proposal for a game change
Thanks for the game, everyone.
It was an interesting experience. The triple income made it possible for me to switch R'lyeh's focus from the previous owner's lobo swarms to huge masses of ilithids and (most importantly) starspawns. There were very few mage starspawns when I took over, but I was able to recruit them in huge numbers. The ones with a death random were the most important - nether darts from an S4 caster are just nasty, and being able to teleport 10-20 nether bolters onto whatever army Arco was trying to throw at me was more than he could handle.
Thanks to Graeme for hosting.
Unless someone has any objection, I'll message Graeme and let him know he can take the game down.

Re: Proposal for a game change
Congratulations RonD, on a well-earned victory. I fumbled in the end zone due to sequence of play confusion, as you no doubt noticed. A typical noob error I'm afraid. This was my first net game and only my fifth multiplayer game. All in all, very enlightening. Thanks again for stepping in, and thanks to Graeme for hosting. On to Dom III!

Re: Proposal for a game change
Thanks for the game everyone. Kinda a bummer for me 'cause all my opponents deserted, but fun playing with giant armies of endgame Vanhiem might.
Thank you for hosting Graeme, and bonus points for hosting for so long after you left without complaint!
Grats to Ron, excellent work coming in as a sub and pulling off the win!
