Default Close assaulting an immobilized turretless vehicle

Is there a bonus for an infantry unit that close-assaults an immobilized, non-turreted vehicle (without AA-MG) from a hex that the assaulted vehicle cannot reach with its weapons?

The vehicle is defenseless, therefore there is no danger for the assaulting unit. So IMHO the morale-check should be quite easy to pass and there should be no such thing as an aborted assault that results in a heavily suppressed infantry unit retreating, or even retreating into a hex that can be reached by the vehicles weapons.

The infantry unit has about 3 minutes to find and exploit a weak spot, so maybe a higher probability of hitting a weak spot would be appropriate.

Default Re: Close assaulting an immobilized turretless vehicle

True, but remember that for very green and inexperienced troops they may not realise there's little danger. Don't forget that although it's not modeled in the game in RL there would always be the possibility of crewmembers using smg's and such to fend off attackers. Green troops might also 'see' or fear dangers that are not really there. So a 100% assault chance wouldn't be realistic either.

But AFAIK there are bonus's for vehicle's being immobilized, being buttoned (which also nullifies aamg's) and attacking from the flank or rear. I think there's also a bonus for attacking a turretless vehicle from the side or rear but not sure about that.
