Re: AI Mictlan is not too bright.
Heh, last game I played on a small map vs cpus, wiped out a cpu had about 8 provinces... ran into another cpu, figured he'd have around the same amount, his borders seemed about that size... but I am closing in on him, and I notice there are a ton of neutral provinces around him... I realize his empire is actually cut into pieces, and the neutral provinces are full of barbarians... I have a "duh" moment and check his scales -- turmoil 2, misfortune 3... turmoil/misfortune is flatout suicide with the strength of their turmoil-type invasion events.

Uh, I thought that was fixed way back in Dom2. I'd report that in bug thread as this dominion is suicide indeed.

Re: AI Mictlan is not too bright.
Mictlan is one of the harder nations to play for humans. Im not surprised that a general purpose AI doesnt do well with it.
But if someone comes up with simple (3 words, 4 words, one line at most) thing that the AI can do to fix that then Im sure it will be considered for adding.

I can do it in two words.
Blood sacrifice.

I would advise making a change where all capitals cannot have their own dominion lower than 1 for the first 10 turns. This would greatly help keeping Mictlan as the AI alive longer.

Re: AI Mictlan is not too bright.
I haven't looked at Mictlan yet in Dom 3, but do they still have the site that gives them 5 blood slaves/turn in the capital? If so, scripting them to blood sacrifice every turn with the first priest they recruit wouldn't hurt and shouldn't really effect the game much.

Re: AI Mictlan is not too bright.
Three blood slaves, not such a huge difference.

That's in Early Era. In Late Era it's only one. But Late Mictlan rocks in so many other ways that I can work around the initial difficulties in spreading dominion.
