How to take screenshots ?

This did not work for me using windows xp. The print screen button did nothing.

I am able to email the screenshot no problems, but how do I display the screenshot on the forums or send it as a PM? I tried hosting it on imageshack, then linking the screenshot but did not work.

Anyone, with the best, quickest and simplest method of putting a screenshot on this forum? Anyone...
