With fewer players the faster pace is really nice!
Even with just 6 of us in this game, 4 out of 5 moves often arrive in my mailbox within an hour or two, and we have to wait much longer for that final one because of differences in our personal schedules and timezones.
Without a 24 hour deadline in between moves, it is easier for any player to keep postponing the completion of their move for another day or two, but doing this can be inconsiderate when the other players wish to keep the game moving along.
Our provision for player timeouts lets all players know if the 24 deadline has to be temporarily suspended and when players can expect the game to continue.
None of the rest of us really know what we are doing either, Ichtarian, so the army of fish may be the strongest after the dust settles on the mainland!
