Re: Stupid Question
That's where I looked and found explosion and weapon displays settings, but nothing about the damage_xx.bmp files.
I think they may not be used.
Or maybe you know something more ?

Re: Stupid Question
In all my prodding I have never seen a call for it. I suspect it was meant to be used in conjunction with weapons but was dropped for some reason. Then again the best people to ask would be one of the Beta testers.

Re: Stupid Question
Damage_05.bmp is the electro ball one, right?
It is not used in stock, but you are free to add more animations any time.
I was originally thinking of using that one for my lasers, but I made myself a better one:

(Upper ship firing at the lower one)
You can get the source files from GGmod

Re: Stupid Question
SJ have you considered releasing your damage textures as a seperate little mod/dl?

Re: Stupid Question
90% of the filesize is the pictures, so its not really worth making and maintaining a separate download.

Re: Stupid Question
GG mod: 33.9 MB. GG Pictures: 25.9 MB.
So yeah. Might be worth sticking them in the Image Mod if it ever gets off the ground.

Re: Stupid Question
Oh certainly, but when compressed right now, the non-picture data crunches right down to almost nothing.
