Exactly. This is best described with Onis (EA jomon) : flavor text explain that as demons they do not nead to eat, but that they love to eat, even while humans inferior are left to starve.

No, that simply means that you may need to bring supply items when traveling through low supply provinces with large army of demons and mortals. No need to be dramatic.
