Re: Need help!!!
eeeeeyyyyy!!!! Stop with those accusations.
"How is this possible? Dom3 isnt sold in stores as far as I know? Only through a couple of online vendors"
I already said it, i bought a previously own one, wich means that someone bought it and exchanged it in my videogame store!!!
"The first thing the game does is asks you for the CD-key, which is printed on the inside of your manual. This implies then, that you obtained your CD-key through some other means."
The cd- key was written in a stick on the backside of the cd (and if you have bought any other "cd-key needed game" it is usual to find the key on a sticker at the back of the manual or the box, like in codename panzer for example), an it wasn't handwrite.
"you should ask for a refund"
i already tried, but i bought it knowing that there was no manual, and the game works, so theres no refund possible (I can exchange it for another game but I will lose half of the money)
"or better a plain new one at Shrapnel's !"
The only problem is that I dont wan't to pay 2 times for the same game!!!
Thanks for your help and BUUUUUUUH!! for the accusations (I have to admit that it is possible to find it suspicious... but i'm not guilty!!!)
Is there any post which lists the main differences between DOM2 and DOM3??? Thanks in advance

Re: Need help!!!
I just knew I wasn't the only one around here with a suspicious mind
Agramenauer:
The main difference between Dom2 and Dom3 is that Dom3 comes with a big shiny beautiful 300 page manual with really cool pictures of monsters inside. Sadly, I lost my manual-and I'm very upset about it-but in an effort to combat piracy and protect Illwinter, I'm dead against digital copies. I feel your pain, Agramenauer, truly I do. But we must suffer together so that Illwinter can continue on. Yes, it may cost us money earned from the very sweat of our brows, but in the end it's worth it to have the game, complete and whole, to treasure forever, and play every day. Though manual-less, we are manual-less together, my brother (or sister). You are not alone! We fight the good fight! For honor! For Illwinter! YAAAH!

Re: Need help!!!
WOW!!!
THAT WAS EPIC!!!
I had already thought about it, I was going to ask if anyone could scan the tutorial part of the manual, but it can't be done or pirates will destroy this game... thats why I didn't ask for it. But please, could you tell me just two things, Why is dominion in game so important? (I cant understand how it works) and If the shipping is included in the game price.
thanks again

Re: Need help!!!
I don't see the point in pirating such a game.
It is turn based, low standard graphics (which is a diplomatic saying for 'bad looking an plain' ;o) - at least for the most of world's gamers), it has an 80's interface and is very complex, which drastically reduce the number of potential gamers.
In fact, this is a game for REAL hardcore strategy gamers, whose who played AH wargames in the 80's (ASL ;o) or so and love having an headache when they play D
Also, this is made by TWO (very) (GREAT) people, obviously pationates ones, gamers who create games for gamers alike, and not by those making-money-only game's companies which stun us with superb-graphics-totally-easy-completly-void-games !!!
So, if you had pirated this game : try it, loose your games, be confused, lost, angry, feel stupid in face of the interface, and go back playing empty 3D games that's was made for you.
No offense against someone in particular.
But even if this game is somewhat expensive, well, you allready have a 100 times the price computer for playing with it, so ... Make an effort. Independants & small companies, whatever they create (games, music, films, etc.) are really importants for the freedom of us all. I want to have choice, and if they gone because we don't support them, I will not have it and be playing Disney games the rest of my life ... Gasp !

Re: Need help!!!
Note for the tutorial : download the demo and look in the /docs subfolder, if I'm not mistaken, you will find a pdf with instructions for the tutorial
Unless I'm mistaken, and the tutorial doc was made available for download later by illwinter/schrapnel ?
But I'm sure that the question of documentation for the tutorial, at least, was already resolved, as the demo don't came with a 300 page manual ...

Re: Need help!!!
You'll have to learn a lot of stuff by hand - typing out spell lists, etc.
The IRC channel is your best bet as far as getting questions answered as they come up.
There is also a strategy wiki page you can search for with some of the basics listed.
EDIT - Additionally, there is a walk-through for Dominions 2 by the writer of the manual for Dominions 3 that you can find in the downloads section, I believe, which will answer a lot of "start-up" questions.
Here is the download page for Dominions 2

Re: Need help!!!
You should send the serial to Illwinter so it can be properly documented.
