In the Chinese version it's a picture of an river demon instead of an Umbral, and then a picture of an Eater of the Dead instead of a horror (I forget which one, but I don't think it was the Hunter of Heroes, and it definitely was a named horror), and then a picture of Gandalf instead of a picture of a Zyz (undead giant eagle) in the manual-which could have used more pictures overall (those are the only 3, aside from minor icons, as far as I can remember). Also, the fellow who wrote it doesn't reference a Civilization strategy guide as the ultimate strategy guide he wanted to emulate, but didn't know nearly as much about fantasy as the people who wrote the guide he references knew about history, he references Sun Tzu's the Art of War.

See? I really DID lose my manual!

Losing the Dom3 manual is a hanging offense. It is an act of Treason.

Haha, don't be afraid. :]
I mean that I am taking the disket back home with me.
Though if it will make you feel good I can take a Russian Copy online? Do they sell Russian copies? That'd really help with manual and understanding. :]

Thank you about the blessings! I kept thinking it was another 'drop-down' select, but, lo and behold, it wasn't!

I have a question regarding the manual:

It is "spiral bound" (or something like that), this means you have to flip the pages "overhead" instead of sideways like you do with a regular book?

Also, I don't know if any of you have ever read the Krush Kill and Destroy manuals, but those were written with truly fantastic humor. Is there "humor" in this manual, will I chuckle when I flip through the pages? If it will ...

Blessed be the souls of Illwinter and their offspring for a thousand generations.

*goes back to his mail-watching post, eagerly awaiting his Dom3 package*

No, it means it's a plastic spiral holding it like a book. What this means is that the manual will lay perfectly flat when opened on any page, which, with a regular binding on a book of this page (300 pages), would not happen.

It doesn't "look" as nice as a regular binding, but it's way more convenient. And since the manual does hold a lot of useful information, that's a Good Thing.

From what I remember of my own reading, you won't chuckle when reading it. There is a little dry humor, but not that much.
