What's a Teddy Ruxpin?

It was a teddy bear with a tape player in it's stomach. The idea being you put the story tapes in and Teddy ruxpin himself will tell you a story. I remember the cartoon when I was a kid, with Teddy Ruxpin traveliing around. At one point he meets an older bear which was immediately obvious to me was his long lost father but which it seemed to take ages for him to discover.

I thought it was just funny when the robot eats it, but it's really funny when they put up a screen and turn off the lights .
