Actually, that's one of the crazy things about EVE. There is actually stuff worth buying when you have obscene amounts of money.
When I started, I was given a million spacebux to get started. It bought me a pair of nice frigates, mining gear, and enough stuff to deck out my ships well enough to get started. I was all like "OOHHH, million bux!!"
Now I have 95 million on hand, like 300 mil worth of ships alone, and have handed out a million or so to more than one new player. Funky.
