If you have some fairly cheap mages who can cast Frozen Heart or Sailor's Death, or maybe even Dehydration, putting those behind a dense block of infantry who will at least take some time to kill, might let the mages kill the expensive Hellheim units at a cost-effective rate...

Quickening could also help reduce some of the elite advantage of the Hellheimers.
