Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
On the mind blast info screen, it says:
Additional damage (1 an+mr)
What does this mean?

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
an = armour negating
mr = magic resistance
But I have never played R'lyeh so I could be wrong.

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
hes right. You take a mr test for the paralyze and, afaik, if that gets through you take another mr test for 1an damage.

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
Sorry, still a little confused.
So this 1 an damage is in addition to the damage value of 10 listed at the top?

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
10 (or 12 depending on unit type) is paralysation damage (number of turns the unit will stay paralysed).
On top of that , if a unit fails another mr check, it suffers a small amount of physical an damage.

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
SO, basically mindblast is two separate attacks on the victim, both of which can be resisted with MR. One paralysation, and one a very weak armour-negating damaging attack.

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
I believe damaging attack is additional, i.e. it occurs (second mr roll is made) only if the victim fails mr roll against the main paralysation attack

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
And what is the difficulty level of the R'lyey mind blasts. I thought at first the formula was you are parylzed for (10 + DRN) - (MR of target + DRN) turns. But that isn't right. Units with high MR don't get parylzed for shorter periods of time then units with low MR resitance. They just get parylzed less often.
But to make a succefully MR roll aginst mindblast, MR + DRN has to be greater then what number? Does anyone know?

Re: Question about R\'lyeh Mind Blast
I think it's 10 or 11 +DRN or something like that
