That hurt, (my ego).
Hope this helps.
Ah yes, the Psychic Subverters. A weapon to be feared. There are two defenses: one, use Master Computers on your ships instead of bridge/lifesupport/crewquarters. Two, (if you don't have Master Computers) destroy his ships before they can use the Subverters

Thanks, I'll remember that. It hurt to have to destroy my own ship. I wonder if Growltigga uses them. Hmnm, Master Computers are expensive, and Long Range Weapons costly to research.

Oh good, now I have a reason to build Hybrid Battle Crusier / Fighter Carrier. Like the Japanese at the end of WWII.
BTW: Can you put fighter bays in a Battle Crusier?

Re: Kamikaze Ships used bei AI??
Yes, you can. You can put any component that will go on a specialized ship type on the "generic" ships.
In other words you can have a fighter-launching mine-laying satilite-laying armed cargo-carrying colony-carrying battlecruiser.
Assuming you can fit it all in.

I think the original Heinlein line is "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch" (TANSTAAFL).
Not to be confused with Niven's TANJ (or "There Ain't No Justice").
BTW - on the larger ships, the master computer can actually be cheaper than all the bridge/lifesupport/crewquarters. And once you get to Master Computer III, they only take up 20kT of space, which leaves more room for other stuff...

Re: Kamikaze Ships used bei AI??
While I would not be surprised if Heinlein did indeed use the phrase, I belive it has been in Physics and Engineering circles long before that.
I understand it refers to the rudiments of Newtonian Physics. I am not well versed so I culd be wrong.
