Re: Well, I have no life....
2001 was a great year for me. I was emplyed the whole year(a first BTW). I got a new car. I made some friends. The next month or so is a little scary but if a get through to Feb or so I should be ok.
Good girlfriend,of over 6 years(make commintment joke here) I acutly want to maryy her it is just not practical(sp) right now( look for that in 2003(of I surive 2002)).
My wish for the next year is to stay healthy stay employed get out of debt and survive.
May my journey tword my life long goal be short and trouble free. And may I continue to grow and learn as I have done these past 4 years or so.

Re: Well, I have no life....
2001 started out ok, it ended a bust. Still trying to remodel my kitchen & downstairs, a job that should have taken 2 wks is now on the 4th week and we're still living out of boxs and no sink, try finding something you thought you had marked on the box and forgot,, ugh, other then that I woke up every morning which I'm thankful for and always remember that others out there have it worse then me and my family, I will keep trying to live each day as they come and hopefully will have many years of play time ahead.
2002 has got to be better when it comes to that $^&(*(*&^%''' Kitchen mess...... It can't keep going on, can it????/ won't it ever get done????
sigh...

Gryphin, senility can lead to unpredictability as well!!
On a serious note, I think I am going to give up SEIV and go back to playing Shogun - I had no problems commanding thousands of Samurai but everytime I play SEIV - I get whomped by some b##### alien race - it is beginning to get depressing as I just don't seem to have the time to devote to trying to understand all the nuances of this game without a manual/idiots' guide!!

Re: Well, I have no life....
Mac5732,
Kitchens, conservatories, patios and wooden floors are 4 things man is not meant to wot of without the help of a professional.
I have done all 4 in 2001 which means it is going to go down as (a) an expensive year (b) bloody stressful and (c) not a time for your wife to realise she actually preferred oak to maple when you have just put down 100 square metres of the stuff
2002 was meant to be the year of no home improvements!!

Well, mac, my parents are having a bathroom and kitchen remodeled, plus having central heat & A/C installed, plus having a new full bathroom installed, and trying to remove textured paint from nearly every wall in the house. Even with professional help, it's taking 3-4 MONTHS to accomplish everything. They've been living without sinks in the bathrooms for over a month. In fact, I ended up hosting the family Thanksgiving at MY house because Mom's was so torn up. And my sister hosted Christmas at HER house for the same reason.
So, I guess I'm saying it could be worse; but I wouldn't expect your kitchen remodelling to be a fast job. Especially if it's the first time you've done any of the tasks. I recently replaced two bathroom sinks and 3 sets of faucets; it took 3 times longer to get the first sink and first set of faucets in than it took to get the rest of the work done.

Re: Well, I have no life....
Man, this thread is depressing. I personally am looking foreward to a great year. After 7 long years I am finally moving out of this hellish town and getting my own place. (I never thought this day would come.)
Oh ya, gonna be livin it up in sunny Arizona!
