Re: OT: Want opinions on Imperium Galactica II: Alliances
It's a real-time strategy game..there should be a demo available, I know I played a demo. The spy system was interesting, but I didn't much care for the rest of the game.

Re: OT: Want opinions on Imperium Galactica II: Alliances
Had a lot of fun playing IG II, though the one alien race kinda reminded me of the Vorlons from B5. The real time aspect was a bit of a pain, though I think you could pause and give orders (or maybe that was the first one). It wasn't all that complex, but it was a fun play.

Re: OT: Want opinions on Imperium Galactica II: Alliances
I did'nt like it at all. I found it difficult to control, and the real-time system is really bad. For me was a disappointment. But it depends fo the age of the player (The graphics are very good).

Re: OT: Want opinions on Imperium Galactica II: Alliances
hey!! if you want to discuss your age, take it the to "How old are you thread".
Now back on topic: I only played the demo, and i liked it, you can design your own units, real time battles in space and on the planets, you can pause during combat and give orders. I never played it for long, a few days after i installed it my computer sort of blew up, (i don't think it has anything to do with IG II if you are wondering )
I played the demo on a celeron 300, so that athlon shouldn't be a problem.
Don't know anything about the AI, but from what i heard, it wasn't that good. I don't remember if it had multiplayer, if it did, it could be fun, if you can find someone to play with.
ZeroAdun: when was/is your birthday, i might be younger than you, i turn 20 august 7

Re: OT: Want opinions on Imperium Galactica II: Alliances
I found the game very boring once you break the code.
PROS:
1. Excellent graphics. The planets, the stars, everthing.
2. Ship battles fun to watch because of excellent graphics and special effects.
3. Good sound effects.
4. Plot is fun the first couple of times you play.
5. Decent ground battles.
6. Excellent graphics. - it deserves two votes
Cons:
1. Very little depth.
2. Ship design is pathetic
3. Research is very weak.
4. Plots repeat, so low replayability.
5. A lot of micromanagment of build priorities of planets necessary at harder difficulty levels. Just download the build order from the web site and then just build at the correct population levels and you maximize population growth. Tedious but easy, just follow the code.
6. Very little depth - this also deserves two votes.
7. No customability.
This game is the opposite of SEIV. Excellent graphics but very little depth. It is all show and very little substance. It is like candy that is initially very good, but makes you sick if you eat too much. It is fun for the first couple of games and then it is just boring.
If SEIV is a A, this game is a an aveage of C+. Starts as an A+ but quickly drops to a D - average C+
What would be really cool if you could integrate the grahics of IGII with the depth of SEIV, but I would rather have the depth of SEIV then great graphics. SIEV is much better.
