Gift of Kurgi Bug
I forged the Gift of Gurgi and gave it to an indie priest to send some horrors. The order Cast Item Spell: Send Lesser Horror comes up at the bottom of his list as usual, but he never actually sends any horrors. Strangely, in his battle script, Send Lesser Horror is an option just as if it were a normal battle spell item.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

Re: Gift of Kurgi Bug
i tested it and you're right. it seems to be like the soulstone of the woods in that it offeres an overland "lesser horror spell." (soulstone also lists call of the wild as a battle spell, though it is not)
It appears to provide neither in functionaility. I wonder if it is akin to the gatestone bug.

The souldstone /does/ work, btw. I've used it just fine to cast call of the wild in Dom3 before.

Re: Gift of Kurgi Bug
I tried out the Gift of Kurgi ritual in an SP game a couple weeks ago, and it seemed to be working OK. The trick was, the horror only attacked enemy provinces that contained enemy units (PD didn't count), and it only functioned as a killing machine, not as an occupier (meaning, even if it single-handedly won the battle, the province still remained in enemy hands). When I sent it against "empty" provinces (again PD alone didn't count), nothing happened.
Think of it more as a ritual that attacks enemy units only, like Fires from Afar (although one that lets you watch a battle), but not an "airborne attack" spell like Call of the Wild or Call of the Winds.

Re: Gift of Kurgi Bug
Which is how the Send Horror and Send Lesser Horror rituals work anyway. They also don't attack anyone in a fortress.

please provide further data in the gatestone thread. It apparently works VS. a certain number of AI. But the more instances we know, the better we can understand the bug.
the stone doesn't seem to work in small or large MP games...
I tested the gift a little more and I was also sending it at undefended provinces - thus no cast.

Re: Gift of Kurgi Bug
The regular send horror spells will attack PD just fine - if they win the province is independent.
I just loaded up a SP test game and tried out the Gift of Kurgi. I couldn't get it to work at all, on anything.

Re: Gift of Kurgi Bug
What i could get it to do, in SP vs 1 AI, i was able to send them against independant provinces. (the AI didn't have anymore provinces except a capitol with no PD)
I couldn't send them against my own provinces.
