Default Re: Russian spec.force - exp and morale

In Russia already became traditional on a holiday " Day VDV " to strengthen structure of patrols of militia.

As for commandoes prepared as elite of armed forces.
Later it is a lot of years they do not forget about it.

At least the morals at them should there was nothing at professionals of the western countries.

Motto VDV: " Anybody except for us! "

Epoletov..... there's really something "missing in the translation". I'm not sure what you are saying in the last two sentences at all. Can you expand on it a bit ?

The strengthened patrols of Militia on a holiday " Day Abn. Force " are necessary for prevention of fights in cities. As commandoes wish to remind the population that they the best soldiers. Fight with militia.

The morals should be high.
Not worse than at regular the soldier of the USA and etc.

Yeah morales is an interesting piont actually. I think the morales of the 'Bloc' countries are generally quite low, but then morale in game also represents how units handfle under fire which is also dedicated by training, so it's not just how "well" the soldiers feel fighting.

Up to disorder OWD, and then the USSR the fighting spirit (morals) of armies of these countries was high because of strong brain washing.

Most people are forgeting that during Cold War, west armies were profesional and Easters block had all conscript with small exeptions. even famous "Desantniki" or Black Berrets were conscripted. They served longer (about 5 years) Intensity of training was enormous, but they stiil shouldnt have same amount of experience as west special forces, Airborne or some special British regiments like Ghurkas

Which professional armies? Apart from the US, most NATO countries had conscription armies well into the 90s, some still have. Now it's a matter of how much of the enlisted men are conscripts, and how they are trained.

The italian army was basically a conscript force for the entire Cold War and so were the germans (as previously noted), the swedes, the greeks and pretty much nearly everyone. The USA itself still relied on conscription to some extent till the early 70's.
