Re: dragon master
Thinking about "Dragon Mastery", it's sad that no abysian mage is able to cast it, as it's one of the nations who would benefit the most from summoning drakes. Maybe it would be nice to add one random slot to their F3H3 mages (Nature, Earth, Fire, Death). So they have a chance to cast dragon master - and a chance to be able to cast their national summons, as none of their mages is able to do that.

Re: dragon master
Gosh! Olive is Thulsa Doom! I bow my head in awe!
Is dragon mastery a rip-off?
Anyone mastering ducks should want to call their power something greater. Ducks are silly, dragons are mighty. Who would you master? (Sorry for not being entirely serious ).

Re: dragon master
Hehe, Thulsa Doom was my first pretender in Dom2 Mp Games. The hopes I puted in him was as high as the number of afflictions he collected.
No, Dragon Mastery isn't a rip-off imho, it should be cool with some nations (Abysia, Jotun, maybe Caelum). But it can't be cast by Abysian or Caelian mages without empowerment.
But it's still possible do dedicate a pretender for summonong drakes (don't know ift's worth the invest).

Yes, Dragon Mastery is definitely a rip-off. Its cost is too high, its bonus too low, and its paths all wrong.

Re: dragon master
Aha, that kind of rip-off. I thought you meant a plagiate.

Pretty correct, needing 4 nature magic and that much research, it's doubtful how often it would get used even at 1 gem.

Re: dragon master
Dragon Master is a level three nature spell not a level four spell.

Re: dragon master
still, not only does it require nature and plenty of research, but it requires a mage with the nature AND at least two in an elemental path -- otherwise they can't summon a drake.

Oops, my bad, guess I was only thinking of knocking down required nature a level in CB.
