Why to buy ATGM AFVs?

I haven't yet seen very reasonable reason to buy ATGM AFVs. Infantry does very same thing I believe but are in practice invisible for AFVs, when ATGM AFVs is vulrnable for infantry and MBTs. Those are costy also.

MBTs can take out pesky infantry while ATGM AFV can't do or with same efficiency.

Someone to prove me wrong?
