Re: bitlist error?
I got a similar thing, except it was player 5, which was The Rage.
I have no idea what caused it.

Re: bitlist error?
thanks for your reply!
Strange thing, this bitfileerror!
Does it happen often to you? Have finished games with TDMMOD yet - i mean, did this error only occure from time to time, or is it in every game?
Thanks again - looking forward to your answer.

I have no idea what causes it. I use autosave every turn so I was able to go to the previous turn, save the game at the point just before I hit "end turn" (so I wouldn't have to repeat everything I did that turn next time I reloaded the game) and got the same error.
When I have time I think I'll go load the save game, make player 5 a human player and see what it was trying that turn. Hopefully I can avoid the same error.

This is strange. As author of the Rage, I have spent many hours playing against them and have never seen this error (from any race, for that matter). What Version of SEIV and what Version of the Rage do you have? Perhaps there is a Version incompatibility.

bitlist error?
Hallo again!
I wasn´t here for a long time - now i´m back again and very surprised!
With the mods (TDMmodpack 2.0) this game rocks!
A big thank you to all the modders - very good work!
But, by using the TDMMOD i got in one game the error window "bitlisterror". After that, the round was not completed. It stopped by Player 7.
Sorry, i don´t know who was player 7 - my question is: Does anybody made the same experience? I´m playing now for a while a new game where everything runs very well. But always when i push the end of turn button, i´m afraid of getting the "bitfile error"!
Ah..., i remember that in the game, where this error occured, the narn(?) empire was a player. I never involved them again - could it be, that this error is with them?
Sorry for my bad english!
Many greetings from Germany

The latest Version of SEIV, (1.49) and using the latest TDM Modpack (Checked readme.txt, it says 2.3 for the Rage). Happens in year 2413.4, and loading my savegame and trying to play the Rage's turn as a human player didn't work since the BitList error popped up as soon as I started my turn.
Managed to get in on the previous turn and what I saw didn't confirm my suspicions since they only have level 1 in stellar manipulation and no ships using stellar manip.
Hm. Still getting the error and it seemed to pick a different ship this time when the turn started.
I can't select anything on the system display, but can select anything in the display showing what's in the current sector.
Oh well. Hopefully it won't show up in Gold.

Re: bitlist error?
Yeah,
exact the same going happens to me! It stops by player 7.
Hmmm, at the moment i play a game (btw, the same configuration: SEIV 1.49, TDM2.0), every thing is really fine. Romulans, Drakol, Spaceorks and 3 neutral races. - Everything perfect.
It seems to me, that this bitfileerror occures from time to time - very hard to say, what´s the reason for it. I didn´t have it in the unmodded Version (but there, i had same crashes in battles).
I hope, too - that in SEIV Gold this would not happen!
BTW, does anybody know, wich is the best balanced race at the moment - i mean, the best balanced AI!
Tanks a lot and many, many Greetings from Germany

Re: bitlist error?
Your best bet is to send the save game to Malfador with an explanation of what is happening. Since you have a repeatable case, he may be able to figure out what it is and fix it.
