Maxim is very reliable, able to shoot for long periods of time, due to water-cooling and use the same ammo, as the PKM and some of the marksman rifles. Maxim is combat proven throughout the world with unbeliavably good results, it costs nothing, if warehoused properly, since we have already bought them 60 years ago, and can be moved by three men with regularity and some ammunition. So if isn´t broke, don´t fix it. I´d like to see those chaps who had to train us to use them though. With hearing-aids and endless war stories.
