Do you have any pictures of the LVTP/AAVP7 with the blade attached? All I've ever seen is with the Mk 154 Mod 0 line charge fitted, which basically gave the minefield breaching capability to the standard version.
EDIT: Whoops, somehow missed the first sentance of the last reply.
The only blade fitted variant I've seen a picture is the LVTEX3
I saw a different blade used in the minefields during Gulf I.
A 'V' shaped one with teeth on the underside to dig the mines out of the ground then push them to the sides. And they don't work perfectly cause I did see one trac burning where it had hit a mine the blade missed.
I did see that pic of the LVTEX3 but since it never got much past the drawing board I sorta ignored it.
My (no so) little project is intended to revise the USMC OOB to what they did and do have rather then the current "They need one of these for the Picklist and didn't have one so we'll give them what the US Army had".

No, I feel your pain. I created a LVTP5/AAVP7 w/ Mk 154 Mod 0 unit (just used the standard icon) for my OOB set to get things to be more accurate too.
Once I get a little further along in my rebuild I'll be taking a close look at your Vietnam specific OOB.
No doubt you've caught a few things I'll have missed since you're looking at just that period rather then the whole OOB.

Just remember, everyone's style is different. How I "solved" issues is not how you would solve them, and what I think is accurate you might think is inaccurate and vice versa.
I'm also not former military, which affects how I percieve the information I have found.
True, but as with most situations that don't require an immediate answer the more ideas one can gather to evaluate the better.
Tho I've probably annoyed Don and Andy a bit by being more concerned with "what was/is" then game balance I'm hoping to create something, that tho it of course won't be perfect for balance at least won't totally destroy it.
