I am suggesting... or stating if you would prefer that most men taken in the general sense of HUMAN KIND (of which I am assuming you are a member of, tigga or not ) which are in positions of power (supposed or real) are mostly blowing hot air to keep their egos, positions, or self-acceptance up to the over-inflated norm that is basic SOP.

Remind me, my dear solicitor,

Um, er, yes, what Mephisto said.
Or did you do that to get more time to practice SEVI G? More of your guile showing through?
You better not quit this game befor I shred your ships with Plasma torpedos.
Other than that, I have seen your tallents and would hire you anyday. I don't charge much for my referances either.
Edit: PS, the Last person I remember using "Au revoir " was Richard Nixon.

Maybe, but in therms of quality contribution to the players of SEIV, I'd say there are many other threads that would win.
Now, I you were to rate it on cross culteral studies then we may have a definate winner.
It certainly has been educational for me.

Well, my line manager has said my resignation shouldbe accepted as I am obviously not committed to the company and the firm.

My ultimate boss and head of team has told my line manager to go.... ahem.... herself and has pointed out in my favour that calling a member of staff in after a late flight and from compassionate leave is pretty bad.

So where I am now is that I am having dinner with my ulimate boss tonight to discuss things (salary will be right a the top of my list I can assure you as will my line mananger)

Failing which, I have spoken to a friend at another firm who would be game on indeed.. so the answer is

No, I have not been fired, I resigned and if I do leave, I have somewhere to go

If "Au Revoir" or "Hasta La Vista" are not to your liking, how about "Auf Wiedersehn" or "Eey Awwww" in Mephisto's honour
