I'm always grabbing my manual to check on where I should concentrate my research, or why I can't seem to be able to make <insert magic item here> (Doh! Need fire 3 not fire 2 for that! As an example

), or to confirm national spell requirements.

Edi's spreadsheets are very nice for all the new stuff too. Especially for things like Lanka summons that are not in the manual.
