newbie question on installing Dom3 on linux ubuntu

Hello

I have just got a new laptop, and, as usual, I have installed Linux (Xubuntu) on it. However, this time, I can't install Dom3: indeed,when I want to run the installer, it asks what program I want to use to open it, but I have no clue. On ly previous computer, it was done automatically, so I guess I am missing something here. What do I need to run the installer?

well, it seems that I was just stupid: actually, after copying the installer on my desktop, I have been able to install Dom 3!
I am happy :-)
