Re: Origins, who\'s going this year?
I think we need something stronger than bleach.
Hydrofluoric acid might do the trick.
/me passes around the HF after Narf's bleach.

I remember one year, I was hanging around the booth for the wargame company The Gamers, when the Chainmail Lady came strutting by. Suddenly, all the guys at The Gamers' booth who had been scoping the Lady out from a distance got real shy. Somebody tried to get Gamers owner Dean Essig to pose for a photo with the Lady, and he politely but firmly declined. His face was quite red.
If you want a really fun time at Origins, go to the Smithee Awards with Dean and his gang. Dean is one of the coolest guys in the wargame biz and loves to have a laugh.
Another one of my most fun Origins memories was meeting Masahiro Yamazaki and finding that he actually remembered me from the previous year.

From what i've heard of Origins it sounds like a blast. What stops me from attending is 3665 miles, unless someone's willing to front the gas money and buy the snacks?

You'll have a great time if you can scrape up the funds to get there. Guys regularly come from Japan, the UK, Germany, South Africa. I'm lucky in that I live in Cleveland, Ohio, which is just a 2.5 hour drive from Columbus.
Columbus is a great city. The convention center is conveniently located, and there are plenty of things for your wife/girlfriend/significant other to do if they are not interested in games.
