Re: Devourer of souls
Of man's first disobediance, and the Fruit
of that forbidden tree, whose mortal words
brought irony into the world, and all our woe
with loss of humour, 'till one greater joke
restore us, and regain the blissful seat
Jest, heavenly muse...

Re: Devourer of souls
You don't use it as a SC-army crusher. You make one and you eat a decked out SC with it. You won't think it's underpowered then.

Re: Devourer of souls
Unless you are playing LA C'tis you may get fairy queens to cast flight on the devourer.

Re: Devourer of souls
1. good point folket-you win a brownie!
2. Sc crusher? I guess that is possible if the sc has a low defense and the attack hits, but would it not make more sense for the same cost to just use a tartarian gate, who can kill sc's and armies?

An out-of-the box Tartarian? Don't you need to GoR, maybe heal, and equip a Tartarians before they can crush SCs and armies?

Re: Devourer of souls
well a gor tartarian gate is 30 gems-same as ds. Many come equipped with nice weapons.
You may or may not need a heal. And 20 percent of tar gates start as commanders, so you do not always need gor.

Re: Devourer of souls
You need to invest more than just 30 gems on tartarians to make them stand up to a devourer in most cases. The only tartarians you can really use out of the box are the cyclops and the flying monstrums, neither of which has the stats to really get around the devour soul.

Re: Devourer of souls
Question: Does the devour soul ability destroy immortal units permanently?
