Re: Comprehensive Scale descriptions?
Magic scale increases bloodhunting? This is news to me too.
I thought era probably altered the effectiveness of blood hunting, or if it doesn't, it should (what with gem sites being more prolific).

Re: Comprehensive Scale descriptions?
I think growth helps in your Carrion Critter reanimation, but I'm not sure. I should know, since I play them a lot, and always take growth 3, but like you, I lack a comprehensive guide to scales.

Re: Comprehensive Scale descriptions?
I know luck helps with crossbreeding. Does the luck scale impact any other spells?

How much does it help?

I don't know. I was wandering through threads and someone mentioned it in passing. I don't recall the thread, probably one of the Mictlan links in the stickied strategy thread.

Re: Comprehensive Scale descriptions?
I know that, supposedly, blood hunting effectiveness is tied to the magic site rate of a game, but I never heard of the magic scale affecting it.
I do not believe that a growth scale helps with your carrion reanimations, but it is supposed to give a larger number of carrion beings when you have the Pangaean global spell Carrion Woods up.
Hmm, other things. Heat and cold scales affect the size of heat and chill radiations. Certain units receive boosts or penalties when in hot or cold lands such as Lava Warriors and Niefel Giants. T'ien Chi' (I think it is just MA) will slowly have their province defense raised by an order scale. Growth and death scales decrease and increase respectively the chance of a being with old age getting afflictions. For every click of sloth, EA Arcoscephale's Philosophers receive a plus one to their research. A luck scale increases your chance of getting national heroes while misfortunes decreases it.
There is very likely more things, but that is all I can think of now.

It is news to me too
Either this is false or it was added when I was addled, or JK added it when I was doing some other stuff.
He might have made bloodhunting dependent on site-setting. I have a vague recollection of this, but I'm not sure if it was just suggestions or actually implemented. I hope it was.
