There's always the thought of having a mini-con/gathering inside another SF convention. The next two big Ohio conventions would be MarCon (Columbus) and MilleniCon (Cincy). There may be other cons but they're not very large.

If the con or gathering happens, I'll do my best to be there. As if it were such a long drive from Ann Arbor to Ohio... though having it no further south than Columbus or Dayton would certainly improve my chances.

Re: Bars. Hey, guys, some of the fans may not be over 21. Gotta watch out for that.

Our younger players are welcomed, we'll just make sure that pepsi/coke is the order of the day....we'll let GT check their ID's.. and if they beat us in hot seat, well then, they are on their own..

PS. there used to be some good pubs/bars in Columbus at one time, don't know if they are still there, been awhile since I was there,

Hrm. Scratch Millennicon; that's in two weeks.

Though people in the area (it's at King's Island) may be interested in checking it out nonetheless.

Ya know, even if we can't get an Ohio Con put together, it doesn't mean we all can't take a day, meet at a local establishment, drink some Bruskies, (pop for the younger ones) exchange war stories, and maybe even find a place to set up some hot seat games.. ah welll just an idea, maybe the con will still happen, hope so.. Hey, Richard lives in Lancaster, he could put us all up for the night, there must be someplace to go in Lancaster, they don't roll the sidewalks up at night do they
