Interesting! This is totally a matter of opinion and flavor, but I had interpreted LA Man very differently.
"Man too suffers under a curse [unleashed by the vengeance of the last Sidhe?], with nearly all of the old magics drained from their lands. But unlike Ulm, the people of Man have risen to the challenge; instead of becoming a broken nation infested by secret cults and vampiric lords, they have found new strength through nonmagical education."
