Default Quick test

American Assault vs Japanese - B17
purchased 1 flight of 3 B17 - 2 sets of 6x500lb

First run - each plane dropped on 2 inline hexes - 2 bomb effects graphics on the first hex, 1 on the second. All bombs dropped - no second pass

Second run - disabled 1 set of 500lb
First plane dropped on 4 hexes in line
Second and third dropped on 3 hexes in line. Un-expectedly all bombs dropped - no second pass.

Next test UK vs Germany 1939
3 Blenheim 1 with 2 sets of 2x250 and 1 set of 2x110

First run - all three planes dropped on 2 inline hexes - 3 effects graphics in the first hex one in the second

Second run - All 3 dropped on a single hex - 3 effects graphics

1943 Germany vs USSR
3xHE 111H with 2 sets of 4x250 kg and
3xju88 with 4 sets of 7X50 KG

HE 111 - all planes dropped on 2 consectutive hexes. 1 with 2 effects graphics on each hex, the other 2 with 3 graphics on the first and 1 on the second.

JU88 - all 3 dropped on 1 hex with 3 effects graphics.

1943 GE vs USSR (fighter bomber not level)
JU87D-8 with 1 1000 KG and 2 sets of 2x50 kg
All dropped on 1 hex - 1 big graphic 2 small. All planes retained 2 or 3 50 KGs fora second pass.

Final test - UK vs GER, July 44 (back to level bomber)
3x Lancaster with 2 sets of 11x500lb
All 3 dropped on 2 consectutive hexes with 2 graphics in the first and one in the second - nothing left for a second run.

From the game guide on level bombers:
"This class goes to the area selected and then offloads its bombload and goes home. It does not select individual enemy ground units to target, it is an area weapon."

So it looks like the big boys are coded to drop their whole load in one go and leave - the number of bomb graphics displayed not withstanding. My only concern from my rudimentary tests is that I'm not seeing the bombs getting strung out in a line over several hexes like I would expect from historical footage. I understand that "tactical" level bomber use would be at a lower altitude than strategic bombing and thus disperse less but those Lancs especially seem to be a bit too accurate.
