Default Map - Bratislava - Petrzalka bridgehead

Huge (200x160) map of Bratislava-Petrzalka suburb, effectively a bridgehead and meeting point of Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. State as was between 1970's and 80's. Detailed description added to the archive as .txt file. Map comes in two variants, with marked Austro-Czechoslovakian border and local names and without both border and names.

Comments, questions, critics welcome.

Slots used: 264, 265.

Enjoy!

Discovered fatal error on the map - on two bridges, one of bridge hexes showed the graphic but the hex info shown "-3 Deep Water", thus making the bridge impassable. Fixed.

Marek,

wow you put in a lot of work to complete this map. Very accurate indeed - however, as most scenarios I could think of would see WP forces attack/advance vs. Austria, in my opinion the Austrian corner of the map came out too small to be useful for the defender. All those hills and forests towards Hainburg - great for a delay - but as of now, the map only covers most of Bratislava, which, as I see it, would only be a staging area. So do you have any plans on covering more of the Austrian side of the border as well?

I may have plans but I don't have maps The map terrain selection was influenced mostly by the fact I was building the map for 1938 situation, when the attacker would come from Austria and Hungary and defenders would be in Petrzalka - I'll post a 1938 scenario soon on WW2 forum if you are interested (nothing special, rather a test case of fort modelling and placement).

Currently I am most likely going to utilise a good web resource of Israeli topo map and build something from there. Gaza strip looks nicely incomplicated with not too many hills - had a look at Golans and told to myself that I don't need to have it all In the future, rather than Austria I'd build some nice hills that played part in Slovakian uprising of 1944.
